Japan Retailers Association (JRA) has supported and will continue
to support Asian Retailers Convention & Exhibition (ARCE) held
or to be held once every two and Oceania.

ARCE has played a leading role in promotion the modernization and efficiency
of retailing by deeping mutual understanding through the exchange of knowledge
and experience with regard to the issue the
countries of Asia and Oceania have in common.
The 1st ARCE was held in Tokyo in 1983. Since then , ARCE has been held in Seoul , Hong Kong ,
Singapore , Bangkok , Manila , Kuala Lumpur, Adelaide,Taipei and Jakarta.
The 11th ARCE was held in Christchurch in September 2003.

| Cooperation with Overseas Retailers
Association |
JRA has developed business relationship with International Retailers Federation
(NRF) and overseas retailers associations. In 1980 JRA organized the 7th
World Retailers Conference in Tokyo under the joint sponsorship of NRF.
JRA participates in the Annual Convention of NRF.

JRA organized trips
overseas 2-3 times a year for Japanese Retailers to see and learn the
latest forms of retailing , the latest logistics and information systems,
etc. JRA also accepts visitors from abroad , organizing a visit to the
latest facilities in Japan with a seminar by such facilities staff included. |
