to the Diet and administrative organization with regard to issues relating
to distribution and retailing, such as administration and finance, tax
systems, labor, city development, realignment of distribution structures,
etc., which have been reflected in distribution and retailing policies.

activities through its committees and study group. JRA has six committees
includes an International Committees/ The retail industry is now in
a revolutionary age, facing globalization, changing consumers and advanced
information technology. Each of our committees has focus on the globalization
of Japanese retailing, Supply Chain Management as a management strategy
and has done various research based on consumer questionnaires. At the
same time, JRA considers information as intellectual property and does
research on Knowledge Management in order to utilize information as
